Do you offer free fence estimates in Madison and surrounding areas?

Yes! We provide free fence estimates throughout Dane County and nearby areas. Call or text us to schedule a convenient time for one of our experienced estimators to visit your property.

Is it necessary to survey my property before a fence installation?

Most properties already have steel boundary stakes in place. Our team uses metal locators to find them. If stakes are missing or untraceable, a professional land surveyor will be required. We are not licensed surveyors, so we will advise you when a formal survey is needed.

Are permits or approvals required for installing a fence?

Depending on your municipality or homeowner’s association, permits or approvals may be required. We can advise based on the latest local fencing ordinances, but you are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits. Permit fees are typically minimal.

Does Ideal Fence of Madison contact Diggers Hotline for underground utility marking?

Yes. Before any fence installation, we call Diggers Hotline to mark public utility lines (gas, electric, cable, etc.). This service is free of charge. However, you must inform us of any privately installed utilities like irrigation lines, gas grills, or lighting, as Diggers Hotline does not mark those.
